Rep. Paul Gosar warned that President Biden using legal action against Trump has taken the US to a dangerous place and could erode citizens’ autonomy.
He argued pursuing Trump with politically motivated cases in New York aims to bankrupt him, and other countries also strategically use courts against opponents.
“The economy of New York will never be the same,” Gosar said. “People in New York better wake up because this has got ramifications far bigger than anything they’ve ever seen.”
“I’m waiting for the United States Supreme Court to come forth and say, ‘Enough is enough,’” he said. “I want to see what they are made of because this is all-out lawfare.”
Gosar said America might survive another Biden term but lose its sovereignty and standing.
He urged undecided voters to consider if they are better off than under Trump and if government is smaller, citing the need for a “fighter” like Trump who Americans “gravitate” to.
“When you see their progression, it’s not only been happening in this country, it’s been happening in Brazil and elsewhere,” he said. “All over, we’re seeing these institutions using the court systems to take over.”
“And it’s not so much an individual leader now as an agency workaround,” he added. “So there’s more to this story than just simple lawfare; it’s happening all over and it’s an insidious play.”
“You could survive it, but I don’t think you would want to, because your autonomy, your sovereignty has all been taken,” he said, “and I think that the shining light that America used to be would never be the same.”
“So now, more than ever, we need somebody with a battering ram; a fighter for the American people,” Gosar said.
“America wants a fighter; somebody who’s gonna win,” he added. “That’s why they gravitate to Donald Trump.”
“We all gotta be winners,” he added. “We have to take these matters seriously — it’s the future of the republic.”
Gosar portrayed Biden as a threat to the republic through expansive government and the erosion of individual liberties, saying the future is at stake and citizens must act.
