Biden faces opposition from business owners and working class in swing state

via Sky News Australia

A retired veteran and former union electrician in Pennsylvania has pledged his support to Donald Trump in hopes of unseating Joe Biden in the 2022 midterms.

He believes Trump has a formula to turn the country around and is disillusioned with the Democratic party.

“To see everybody go against him [Trump], and what’s happening to him? It’s ridiculous. You have to be blind not to see what they’re doing, and the Democrats get away with everything,” veteran Tony Milidantri said.

“They could do whatever they want to, say whatever they want.”

“I hope not,” he said when questioned whether he thinks Biden will win Pennsylvania. “I pray to God he doesn’t.”

“It really is pathetic to watch a man that they can’t impeach because he’s not capable of it, but yet he’s capable of running our country. There’s something wrong here. There’s definitely something wrong,” Milidantri said.

Other Pennsylvania residents and business owners expressed frustration with high costs and inflation under Biden, saying things were better economically under Trump.

Polls show the presidential nominees in a deadlock in key swing states like Pennsylvania.

“Our costs are through the roof just to stay in business. From A-to-Z we didn’t have this four years ago,” stated local business owner Al Anderson. “Of course, Bidenomics is nothing but printing money and creating inflation.”

“Things were just a little easier for businessowners,” Schnecksville native Ed Frack said. “The younger generation is noticeably spending more money than my generation ever did.”

As Biden and Trump campaign in swing states trying to win over voters, a Pennsylvania state senator said voters lack enthusiasm for Biden compared to Trump, evidenced by Biden having to travel to promote his economic plans.

“President Biden was recently in Lehigh County touting Bidenomics — the funny thing about Bidenomics is if it was working, the president wouldn’t have to travel around the country convincing people it’s working,” Sen. Jarrett Coleman said.

The midterms may hinge on voters in states like Pennsylvania who feel the country was better off economically under the former president.
